Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monterey County offers free one-to-one mentoring services to people living Monterey County (Monterey, Marina, Seaside, Carmel, Carmel-Valley, Castroville, Salinas, Gonzales, Soledad - South County). We match children ages 6-17 years old with positive male or female role models who are volunteers known as "BIGS".
In addition, BBBS of Monterey County runs an after-school site-based program called "High School Bigs". The High School Bigs Program offers community service hours to students at North Salinas High School who turn around and mentor a young child (3rd, 4th, or 5th grader) at Natividad Elementary School.
